Konica Minolta MagiColor 5450 DL – Color Printer with Emperon Controller

With the help of modern technological advances such as an incredibly fast on board processor and Emperon controller, the Konica Minolta MagiColor 5450 DL excels in its product category as one of the more comprehensive color laser units available.

Operating at a print speed of 25 pages per minute in both color and black and white, the Konica Minolta MagiColor 5450 DL keeps pace with the current standard in desktop laser printing. Unfortunately, the unit itself is almost too big to be considered a desktop device. With an enormous footprint and extremely heavy curb weight, the unit is quite cumbersome. Memory can further be upgraded to a maximum total of 1 GB via a 184 pin DIMM slot capable of loading DDR SDRAM chips.

Various compatible media types include labels, envelopes, glossy paper, plain paper, transparencies, and postal card paper, along with a full line of standard envelopes. Custom and oddly shaped media can be loaded through the unit via a 100 sheet priority drawer, while standard paper capacity comes in the form of a single 500 sheet capacity drawer. An additional drawer is available for separate purchase to increase paper storage capacity even further.

A maximum monthly duty cycle of 60,000 pages makes the printer perfect for those with medium level volume requirements, while Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet allow for a variety of networking setups. The Konica Minolta MagiColor 5450 DL is a great option for smaller offices wishing to simply add color laser printing to their current hardware set.
