Where is my 1 gb ram?
Hello
I have system with following configuration
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 ghz
4 Gb ddr2 800 mhz dual channel ram
Nvidia 9400 GT 1 gb
Gigabyte Motherboard
Windows XP 32 bit, Vista 32 bit
My problem is that In Xp it shows only 3 gb ram
video ram: 1 gb
In vista also ram shows 3 gb
but video memory 2288 mb
and it shows like this:
Total Graphics memory: 2303 mb
dedicated :1024 mb
system video memory: 0 mb
shared system memory:1279 mb
My motherboard detects 4 gb ram and i tried using various other system information programs, they all show it as 4b of installed memory
Then where is my 1 gb gone?
Also how did my graphics memory became 2288 mb in vista?
Can anyone plz say?
is it bcoz i am using a 32 bit operating system?
