Suzuki Marauder 125 or the Lifan XT125?
I am looking to spend between 800 to 1000 on a 125 cruiser. I have seen a nice suzuki marauder on a 2002 reg for £800, or a brand new (OTR) XT125 – i think its by Lifan for £1000.
Now, I know lifan have a very bad reputaition. What i want to know is, which bike will be more reliable and more fuel efficent for me to travel 4 miles (8 per day) to and from work. Thats all i need it for. I need something that will start in the morning and get me accross town. I know suzuki are more reliable, but with this being 6 years old, comapred to a new Lifan XT, which is the best deal??
2002 Suzuki Marauder 125 = £800 with no tax,
or
2008 Lifan XT125 = £999 OTR, + helmet.
Any personal experiance of each bike please! thanks
If you want good reliability, good build quality and good spares availability, get the Suzuki.
A 6 year old Marauder 125 is way better value for money than a Lifan. Or any other Chinese ‘fall-to-bits’ bike, for that matter…
