Ram Memory Upgrade

RAM memory upgrade question?

I have a 488MB RAM according to ‘My Computer’. I recently bought a 1 GB RAM. How much of a difference is this going to be?

Just make sure your RAM works with your computer. I did an upgrade from 256MB ——-> 1280MB and now the computer is much faster, though for my needs(web surfing plus using GIMP) I overkilled as apparently I never use more than 500MB. Still it was an extremely worthwhile upgrade and for things like gaming, you will notice a huge improvement.
