hp ram and CPU ????????
ok i have a hp pavilion dv4-1028us with 4gb ram. the ram that was in it was 2GB, 800MHz, 200-pin, PC2-6400, SDRAM Small Outline Dual In-Line Memory Module (SODIMM) . so 1 of the 2 went out and i replaced it with 2GB laptop memory; 800MHz operating speed; enhanced speed and performance; backwards compatible with 667MHz and 533MHz operating speeds; 200-pin configuration. cause at the time i had no clue what i was doing ok my CPU was at 2000mhz when i had the 2 ram the computer cam with. know my CPU is at 800 mhz why and what does this mean thanks zack
Your processor is most likely underclocking itself when it is idle to save battery power. Your RAM should not change that. If you want to check the frequency of your processor, use CPU-Z. You will see the frequency of the processor increase as you load programs and execute more demanding tasks and decrease when you aren’t using it.
In your laptop, this would be called Intel SpeedStep.
