Is it possible to install XP into an (original) Vista laptop…and not void the warrantee?
First of all, can you install XP into a laptop that originally has Vista?
Second, if you do, do you take the risk of losing your warrantee?
It is possible, if you can find device drivers that are compatible with XP. That’s the biggest issue.
As far as warranty, they may not provide tech support, as XP isn’t what they sold you, but I don’t see how they can rightly void a hardware warranty over installed software.
My advice. Forgo this for now, as Service Pack 1 is slated for release to the general public. Try that and give Vista a shot. Hunting down drivers for XP can be quite a headache.
