dell poweredge 6650 gives memory failure results using memory tests on the ultimate boot cd?
the memory is ECC ram is it possable that the memory tests on the ultimate boot cd is giving incorrect results.
i have brought 2 of these servers now and both have given memory error results.
MemTest86 (the memory test tool on the UBCD) is pretty reliable. If it tells you the memory has errors, you better believe it! Also note that ECC isn’t a guarantee that memory will never fail … it will just fail after a longer period.
