how much does a 4gb ddr2 (667MHz) ecc dimm RAM cost in india? also which is cheaper among 1 x 4 GB and 2 x 2 GB RAM with same specification as given above?

Check www.deltapage.com for the prices of computer parts in chennai. You can expect the prices to be above 5-10% based on the place ur buying the RAM.

1 * 4 GB would be always cheaper than 2* 2 GB.

Not too many vendors stock the 667 Mhz RAM. So insist on getting 667 Mhz Banded RAM from Transend or similar brands.
